Classrooms and Class Size

All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with the very latest computing and communication facilities. Our class sizes are small since we ensure to educate our students and not simply to teach.

Personal Tutors

As well as having tutors for every subject studied, each student will be allocated with a personal tutor at the start of the year. Personal tutors have information on all the EIC services.

English Support

Our English Language Programmes guide students with English language difficulties.

Private Tuition

Private tuition is available from our teachers for those students who require extra assistance. College Administrator will be more than happy to provide further information in this regard.

Library

Our library is well stocked with a wide range of books, study guides and old exam papers covering all disciplines of study in the College and equipped with individual quiet study spaces and group discussion rooms.

Science and Computer Facilities

There is an extensive range of software available including the latest packages to facilitate computer-aided instructions. Every student will have access to a computer within the College premises and we are committed to encourage all students to make use of these facilities. A high-speed broadband Internet facility throughout the College is in place for students to explore for learning purposes.

Our Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories are equipped as per EDEXCEL specifications.

Hostel Facility

We have our own residential facilities for students. There are separate hostels for male and female students. All hostels have round the clock security provision. Transport to and from the hostels is provided by the EIC's own transport service. Every hostel has its own supervisor. The quality of foods in each hostel is checked and maintained on a regular basis by our designated supervisors following the general food hygiene. A student may go out of a hostel on any College off days only with his/her parent or a guardian pre-approved by their parents. Each student will have the option of either (i) being a fully-residential or (ii) being a semi-residential, i.e. residing for a certain period of time every day at the hostel. Note that it is not a requirement for a student to live in a hostel.

Transport Service

We have our own transport service for students. This transport service covers most of Dhaka City. The availability of the transport service depends on the transport routes and the number of students available for any particular route. Students are picked up at a given time from pre-arranged collecting points near their homes and dropped off at the points where they were collected from.

Health and Emergency Facilities

We run a full-fledged medical centre containing three registered medical practitioners to look after the health and well-being of every student. The medical service is free for our students. However the cost of a student requiring any hospitalisation or emergency unit care will have to be reimbursed by the student's parent(s)/guardian.

Recreational and Cultural Activities

We organise social, cultural and sporting activities throughout the year as a measure to develop our students' extra curricular activities.

Canteen

We have our own canteen that caters hygienic foods and drinks for our students and staff. The canteen is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm every college day.

Attendance

If a student has not appeared in a lesson, our Attendance Officer will telephone or email parents at earliest convenience.

Contact with Parents

Personal tutors are in regular contact with parents keeping them informed of their son's or daughter's progress. Parents should not hesitate in approaching personal tutors for an interim progress report at any time. We organise two parents' evenings per year.
